Sponsors and exhibitors are being sought by the Santa Barbara Hispanic Chamber of Commerce for its fifth annual Business Trade Expo planned for 1 to 5 p.m. April 1 in Warren Hall at the Earl Warren Showgrounds.
‘“The Road To Recovery,’ the theme of this year’s expo, promises to be a one-of-a-kind event bringing together businesses as well as job seekers,” said chamber President Sergio Villa. “Your support of this special event as a sponsor, exhibitor or as an attendee is critical to the future of our business community.”
The chamber is holding the expo in partnership with Staples Business Advantage and Cox Media.
In past years, the expo has brought together large and small businesses to network and market their products and services.
“Given these difficult economic times, we have decided to add a new component to this year’s Trade Expo,” said Villa, who is president his own firm, Alliance Wealth Strategies. “The new component will be a job fair aimed at increasing awareness of job opportunities in the greater Santa Barbara area.”
The chamber will offer two business seminars at the expo. The first will be a discussion featuring Assemblyman Manuel Pérez, chairman of California’s Committee on Jobs, Economic Development and the Economy. Joining Perez, with be Senath Basso, economics professor at California Lutheran University.
The second seminar will be offered by Hispanic chamber members from the firm of Palius and O’Kelly, on “How To Thrive, Not Just Survive In This Difficult Economy.”
The expo will end with a business networking mixer open to the public.
