Lance Armstrong to sign books at local bike shop

By DAILY SOUND STAFF — Dec. 18, 2009

Bicyclist Lance Armstrong, the seven-time winner of the Tour de France, is expected to make an appearance in Santa Barbara this afternoon to sign copies of his latest book, “Comeback 2.0: Up Close and Personal.”

The book centers on the 38-year-old’s return to competitive cycling this year after a three-year retirement; his comeback culminated with a third-place finish in the 2009 Tour de France. Armstrong will sign up to 500 books at FasTrack Bicycles, 118 W. Canon Perdido St., beginning at 6 p.m.

Organizers said participants should purchase their books at Borders, 900 State St., and walk to the bike shop for the book signing. More information is available by calling 884-0210.
