Tour of California hits Solvang today

When the Amgen Tour of California lands in Solvang today, record crowds are expected to accompany North America’s largest cycling event, which got significantly bigger in terms of public interest this year with the comeback of Lance Armstrong.
While an estimated 15,000 people packed the winding roads of the Santa Ynez Valley last year to catch a glimpse of the tour’s stage six time trial, organizers believe this year’s crowd could top 25,000.
