DA: No criminal charges in Tea Fire

Authorities will not pursue criminal charges against any individuals in connection with the Tea Fire that destroyed hundreds of homes in the Montecito and Santa Barbara foothills in November, officials with the County District Attorney’s Office announced today.
While evidence shows a campfire had been started near the origin of the destructive blaze, officials said it does not establish beyond a reasonable doubt that the campfire led to the Tea Fire.
