Last month I made a straight diagonal line clear across the US and traded in the sunny west coast for a week in the fog drenched coastal town of Portland, Maine. Turns out I was there for the worst June on record…the fog was so dense that I could not see the ocean unless I stood at the edge of the pier and looked straight down…and yes, this does mean that I did not see one lighthouse either.
